2021-22 Budget Vote & Trustee Election April 13 11- 8 pm

On Tuesday, April 13 from 11:00 – 8:00 PM, the Liberty Public Library will hold its annual vote on the library’s tax appropriation and election of library trustees for the upcoming fiscal year. This year’s proposed tax appropriation for the operation of the Liberty Public Library is $407,516.  After no tax increase in 2020, the Library Board of Trustees is asking for an operating fund increase of approximately $2.27 more per year for a house assessed at $100,000.   Karen Kaner is running for one open position on the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Public Library.  The term for trustee is 5-years.

Any resident of the Liberty Central School District who is currently registered to vote in the school elections, or who has voted in any of the last four school or general elections, is already registered to vote in the library election. Only residents new to the Liberty Central School District, who would like to vote in the library election, need to register at the Liberty Central School Business Office, from 8 am to 4 pm up to and including April 8.  Absentee ballots are also available upon request.  For more details call the library at (845)292-6070 or check out our annual report document.
