Part Time Teen Library Page Job

The Liberty Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time teen Library Page position. The individual must be at least 14 years of age at the time of application with dependable transportation to the Library. The position will start in mid-June 2026 and will be approximately 5-10 hours per week year-round with a variable schedule including afterschool, evening and Saturday shifts. 

 We are looking for a reliable, hard-working teenager who enjoys working with children, and has excellent computer and communication skills.  Examples of typical duties include, but are not limited to: Preparation of craft material for children’s programs; Assisting with set-up and helping children at library programs; Creation of Library promotional flyers and signage; Checking in and out of Library materials; Reading shelves for accuracy of order, re-shelving materials as needed; Dusts or cleans materials; and Assisting the public in the use of electronic equipment, including photocopier, scanner, fax machine, printers, and computers.  This would be an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working with graphic design, technology and/or children.

Rate of Pay: $16.00/ hour

 Application process: Submit completed Teen Library Page application (found on the Library’s website  at the front desk in the library).  For consideration, a list of references and copies of working papers must be submitted along with the application.  Completed application materials can be dropped off to the Liberty Public Library at 189 North Main Street, faxed to (845)292-5609, or emailed to lib@rcls.org no later than 4:30 pm Weds. April 8th.
